Floating somewhere between the various sugary waves of shoegaze, electro and pop, Paquin is the musical alias of Thomas Healy.

After recording the 'Paquin EP' last year at The Lab in Mount Eden, Healy sought to realise Paquin in a live format. This lead to the drafting of three other members to bring forth live interpretations of the music. Live, Paquin's music shifts towards a more franticly dynamic direction, drawing lines between the warm electro of Cut Copy and the drifting distortion of My Bloody Valentine with synths, samples, dynamic fuzzy guitars, and pulsing drums. Healy has built Paquin as a 'statement of intent, a vehicle for intoxicating and unusual pop to dance to.' Can't say we don't need more of that in our lives.
