“Just a brother from the ‘Stings.
Small pockets. Big dreams.” - Lucid Hiest
His biological mother and father meeting on stage was a foreshadowing of their sons natural talent.
A disruptive upbringing. A runaway at 16. Lucid Hiest was forced into a real world, independently seeking out opportunities to pave his way into a better future. Lucid heist found a passion for performing on stage in various school bands. This offered an opportunity to progress into the next stage of his musical career.
Having success performing in a blues/funk band, “Blvd. Nights” and then a live drum n’ bass band, “Alley Tricks,” Lucid Hiest found his sense of direction in a solo career of drum n’ bass. He gigged around with an EP “Groundshock.” It soon became apparent, public interest had been lost within the genre and the momentum in his career was slowing.
There was always an interest in Hip Hop and natural talent for producing and song writing, so as a project, he released a track “Dance with the Kush” which hit over 1000 views on soundcloud in 3 weeks and gained the interest of industry professionals.
2014 has seen the arrival of his highly anticipated debut album titled “Absence in Motion.” The album’s lyrics reflect an emotional conscience of the hardship and determination he has experienced on his journey to discover and develop his musical career.
His persistent attitude and drive for better has been his up rise from a lost soul with an aimless direction, to a force to be reckoned with.
“Growing up I spent my year’s enduring strife. Working for something better, soon to be enjoying life. Cause this is my time.” – Lucid Hiest
