Dearest Enemy was formed in Auckland in early May of 2013. After months of gigging through the Auckland Rock circuit they came across Christian which led to the definitive Dearest Enemy we see today. The band’s influences lies in the conventions of pop-punk and post-hardcore, incorporating all elements from thumping double kicks and heavy breakdowns, to belting choruses and catchy toe tapping riffs. Though fond of their conventions, Dearest Enemy is not afraid to dabble in other Genres such as Hip-Hop, Grunge, and Alternative Rock. The band have played a small show at the kings arm’s and are ready to start recording and writing song’s, all the while playing as many shows as they can.
