Did you hear the news on TV last night
There’s been another shooting… in the once united states
Casualties aired in: 22 dead, and
Another 36 in hospital beds
What a tragedy for this great nation

Parents plead with the government
Asking for solutions
So this doesn’t happen again
Asking for laws on guns and weapons
Is that so wrong?, they said
But the pig man laughed, went on the TV
And this is what he said

Preventative measures!
We’re locking down the schools
Making more weapons!
So please keep it cool!
Arming the teachers!
To keep your children safe!
And we apologise for any inconvenience
PREVENTATIVE MEASURES!

And so the machine of war keeps turning
Constructing the tools
With which the animals kill
And what use would we have for safety?
When we can make excuses
And roll in dollar bills!
