Reggae Soul music project Street Georges Waikato born frontman Rich Beckmannflay has previously been known playing drums for most of his musical past. Rich recalls a number of shows playing drums for Auckland based reggae/funk/dub/rock band Easy, opening for acts like Salmonella Dub, Katchafire and dDub. Changing from drums to singer songwriter and guitarist early 2018 has led to getting out on the streets busking, playing Open-Mics for live experience and to get direct feedback on songs.
NZ Music month 2019 saw the debut single release of Running Free followed by a year of lockdowns and 2 more releases in 2021.

Diffrent Kind of Girl feat. Augn Zin
Waikato born frontman Rich Beckmannflay spent some time in Myanmar and met rapper Aung Zin while in Yangon. “Different Kind of Girl'' was inspired from looking at various systems of government and monarchy following the military junta coup detaining Burmese leader Aung San Suu Kyi in February this year. The song is intended as a gift to the people of Myanmar to let them know their struggle for democracy is not unnoticed despite everything going on in the world stage with covid. “Different Kind of Girl'' was written during lockdown in 2021, and without any option for live band rehearsal and Aung Zin being locked down in Singapore, the song took a natural journey into a dubish electronica zone. Recorded and produced in home studios, mastering was completed at Munki Studios by Mike Gibson.

Next Lockdown (Covid Love Song)
Next Lockdown was written during the first Lockdown in 2020, with a few rehearsal sessions that were interrupted by next lockdown alerts. Recorded live at Earwig Studios on 24 track analog tape engineered by Darren McShane. Mastering was completed February 2021 at Munki Studios by Mike Gibson during yet another lockdown, just in time for yet another lockdown leading into March 2021. Inspiration for “Running Free” is a personal observation of the resurgence of Te Reo. Street Georges frontman Rich says it's hard to describe how a song can be sung from the point of view of the living entity of our Mori language, it's a heart thing that has flowed into music somehow.
