  Silver Cigarette Case is the first single from Mini Simmons sophomore album. It pokes fun at the sheep-like nature of trends, using throwaway pop-culture references from the 90s/00s era. The song illustrates a marked progression in stylistic experimentation for the band, including the use of backwards recording, strings, elevation of the organ and a female vocal. Notable influences in the writing and recording of the track span from Brian Jonestown Massacre and Lou Reed, to The Beatles ‘Revolver’ and Iggy Pop’s ‘Lust For Life’.
