“Musically, this New Zealand trio has talent coming out of every pore and have truly perfected their craft.” - MutinyZine
“…A sound that is the band’s own and it’s a formidable, tumultuous, pulsating Punk Rock beat that’s as addictive as it is enjoyable!” - Scannerzine
Like a banner of hope rising in the midst of a battalion of soldiers; The Rabble hit the scene - joining in the march of a new generation. With an onslaught of soulful Punk Rock, they paint a picture of spirit in the face of adversity - with tales of life, death, love and hate. The unrelenting trio, originating from Auckland City, New Zealand: dedicate their lives to bringing the enthusiasm back to Rock ‘n Roll - taking their anthemic, barbed-wire assault to the Northern Hemisphere this year. Forget the stereotypes - this is a band who’s sound is tearing down the barriers of commercial mediocrity!
The story begins with brothers Chazz and Rupe in the monotonous summer of ‘01 - at the young and angst-ridden ages of 14 and 15. With the sounds of ‘77 reverberating in their souls and out of a sheer desperation for something other than what a day-to-day society has to offer - The Rabble were born! Eight years and hundreds of live shows later; the band are as resilient as ever - having survived multiple line-up changes, coming out humbled, with a fierce determination and without ever losing their vision, their integrity, or more importantly - their core-songwriters…
Current day see’s the brothers teaming up with Jamie Douglass on bass guitar. Having paid his dues on the stage in another local Punk Rock outfit: the fire is there and with refreshed and solid bass-lines once again behind the beat - The Rabble is at the top of their game!
Look out for the band this year in a city near you, as they tour relentlessly in support of their latest delivery: ‘The Battle’s Almost Over’ - “a coming of age record for the band, one that sees it transcend the boundaries of routine but good Punk Rock and move into the territory reserved for genre-defining innovators.” [Scannerzine]
‘The only future is the one you make!’

The Rabble Announce New Single Posted: Wed May 6, 2009 7:36 am Storming out of their hometown of Auckland, The Rabble are exploding out of New Zealand and into the hearts of punks worldwide. Harnessing the advantages of both experience and youth, this powerful and passionate band have been together for over seven years, but they are still only just out of their teenage years. Now comes the release of "Start Again", the second single from their recently re-released second album "The Battle's Almost Over". "The Battle's Almost Over" was recorded by vocalist/guitarist Chazz at his own Number 8 Wire Recording Studio and mixed in the US by Jim Siegel (Dropkick Murphys). The ambitious rabble-rousers even secured guest vocals from their new friend Mark Unseen, front man of US hardcore-infused punk band The Unseen, on the raging "This World Is Dead"! "Chazz and I have been big fans for a lot of years," drummer/vocalist Rupe explains. "We really got on with Mark and kept in touch over the internet and eventually thought why not ask him to sing guest vocals on a track we had coming up that was fast and hardcore?" Laying down his part in the US, Mark was flown over by The Rabble to appear in the video for the song too. "The whole experience was mind-blowing and we've made a lifelong friend!" Formed by brothers Rupe and Chazz in the summer of 2001, The Rabble have built both a growing local and international fan base on the back of three records, relentlessly touring across the UK, Europe and New Zealand with bands such as Agnostic Front, The Unseen and The Living End as well as appearing at major music festivals, including the Big Day Out and the Taste Of Chaos. "Start Again" will be available on iTunes on Friday, June 5. "The Battle's Almost Over" is available now through Crusade Records. For more information, visit: www.therabble.net www.crusade.com.au About Crusade Records: Established in 2005, Crusade Records is an independent metal and rock record label based in Sydney, Australia. Past and present artists include: Trivium, Bring Me The Horizon, Drop Dead, Gorgeous, The Rabble and more. |

The Rabble To Reissue Latest Album Posted: Wed Feb 25, 2009 7:27 pm Sydney, NSW, 25th February, 2009 - Auckland-based punk rock trio The Rabble will re-release their latest album 'The Battle's Almost Over' on February 28th through Crusade Records. On the 16 track album - which was mixed in the US by Jim Siegel (Dropkick Murphys) - The Rabble meld the sounds of '77 legends The Clash with more recent American hereos Rancid, while adding inspired flavours of hardcore ('This World Is Dead'), rock n' roll ('Seeking'), rockabilly ('Devil's Highway'), Celtic sounds ('The Battle') and an irrepressible spirit all of their own. The ambitious rabble-rousers even secured guest vocals by their new friend Mark Unseen, frontman of US hardcore-infused punks The Unseen (who they have shared stages with), on the raging 'This World Is Dead'. "The whole experience was mind-blowing and we've made a lifelong friend!" Formed by brothers Rupe and guitarist/vocalist Chazz in the summer of 2001, The Rabble have built both a growing local and international fan base through putting out their own CD's, touring the UK, Europe and New Zealand with bands such as Alexisonfire, Sick Of It All and The Living End as well as appearing at major music festivals including the Big Day Out and the Taste Of Chaos. 'The Battle's Almost Over' will be available in stores February 28th through Crusade Records. RE: The Rabble, June finalists for Coke Launchpad Posted: Sun Jun 20, 2004 2:36 pm Last year Launchpad was announced and run from Space on TV2 - the finalists were announced along with the details on how to vote, and the winner was announced at the end of that round. Space then screened the winners' video after it had been created. |
