Tempo 38 ‘Septic Proof’ Release New EP Posted: Sat Sep 6, 2008 11:04 am ‘Infamous hardcore punk band from Hawkes Bay, New Zealand’, release new EP Septic Proof TEMPO 38 have been making music since 2000. The band have a string of releases to their name, have tracks featured on numerous compilation CD’s (released in New Zealand, Australia, Germany and the UK) and shared the stage with many bands from N.Y.C hardcore legends SHUTDOWN to Californian pop-punk band THE ATARIS to Aussie punk legends HARD-ONS to NZ’s own THE BLEEDERS, STERIOGRAM, DEJA VOODOO & ELEMENO P, the band have embarked on headlining tours of their home-country and have a history of achievements and exposure which can only come from such longevity. Septic Proof Single/EP Doubling as a single as well as a standalone EP, the track Septic Proof also features on the bands 2007 release ‘Brothers In Battle’ (PEE Records/Hit Your Head Music), a split CD with Brisbane based hardcore group Provoke released in NZ as well as Australia. Along with the title track this release also includes the five “Leftover” tracks from the ‘Brothers In Battle’ recording sessions in. Recorded by Nich Cunningham at Rockbottom Studios, Auckland and mastered by Martyn Zub (The Hot Lies, Hilltop Hoods, Murder Hill) @ Tracks, Adelaide, AUS. Tempo 38 to release split CD in Australia Posted: Mon Apr 3, 2006 10:19 am - Last year hardcore punk group Tempo 38 recorded what was to be their debut album. Engineered by Nick Cunningham (Kill Me Quickly, Evil Priest) at Rock bottom studios, Auckland. - The band then got an offer to do a split with Australian band Another Way through Aussie label PEE Records. The Adelaide-based label discovered Tempo 38 through their Myspace profile http://www.myspace.com/tempo38 - The CD will feature 5 of the bands new tracks and will be released around June on Pee Records and Hit Your Head Music, the remaining tracks will be released as an EP further down the line. - Tempo 38 will play 5 shows in Australia to promote the release once the CD is out. |

Tempo 38 video on TV Posted: Sun May 15, 2005 9:56 am Napier punkers Tempo38 have their debut music video appearance on TV this week. The video for the single "Con", shot for a miserly $100, will appear on TV2's Coke Countdown on Sunday, May 15 and again the following Saturday on TV2's New Release show. The band are also heading to the studio in June to record their debut full-length album. No release date or title has yet been announced. |

Tempo 38 - Rough Landing Tour '04 Posted: Thu Jul 8, 2004 11:41 pm Tempo 38 – Rough Landing Tour ‘04 Throughout August and into early September, hard-core edge punk rock ‘n roll band Tempo 38 will be hitting the road to celebrate being a band and everything that goes along with it. Four years of it even, true! In April the “The Temps” recorded 2 new songs (Venn Studios, Auckland) as part a promotional CD sampler Con. “These new recordings are not being released as such, more of a sampler for people we know & do biz with”. “We’re also making a video for Con, so when that’s wrapped up we’re going to release the tracks more officially with a few other tunes and maybe a free sticker or badge” However, for now a limited copies of Con, which features the two new songs (Con & The Secret Weapon) plus the compilation hit Drink will be available at shows. Tempo 38 have toured the North Island twice to date and this time round look forward to playing shows with 21 Guns, Kill Me Quickly, Not Quite Right, We Dunno, One Must Fall, Omega Dawn, Noble Peasants, Servo, Voodoo Butta & The Joint. “It’ll be good to get back on the road to play a fresh set, catch up with our buds and party with some news bands”. Tempo 38 On German Hardcore Compilation Posted: Fri Jul 26, 2002 5:02 pm Tempo 38 have been added to the tracklist of an international hardcore compilation being put out by German indie label European Nightmare Records. Entitled '...And The Nightmare Begins', the CD features 25 bands from 12 different countries. No plans exist for the CD to be released in New Zealand. Shade muzic.net.nz |
