From the bustling metropolis that is Masterton, New Zealand, The Dead Zephyrs have emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the realm of NZ Rock. Their journey began a decade ago, weaving through the local music scene as teenagers, evolving into hometown heroes during their cover band era. Now, they stand as local legends, having claimed the prestigious title of New Zealand National Battle of the Bands Champions for 2023. The first Wairarapa band in history to do so.
Comprising four dynamic individuals – Frontman Ronnie Zephyr is more than just the slicked back hair, he has the presence and the voice that keeps you watching, Jordan Tredray the skin-ripping beat master behind the drums, Brian Belluomini, the guitarist who cut his teeth playing the mean streets of San Francisco, and Chrispy Parkinson, the perfect mix of production and destruction, the flow state bass-case brings his own flavour at all times. The Dead Zephyrs together infuse their music with a distinctive flair that defies genre.
Recently, The Dead Zephyrs ventured into the renowned LAB Studios in Auckland to capture their sonic essence, ensuring that their music reverberates far beyond the borders of their hometown. They look forward to sharing the new tracks with the world very soon. Along with their infectious energy and undeniable talent, The Dead Zephyrs continue to captivate audiences, bound to leave an indelible mark on the New Zealand music scene.
