Hello!

I was walking around the Valley here in Brisbane when I spotted a
poster for the band "Fast Crew". I'd never heard of the band before,
The poster really stood out because of its sheer lack of character.
Someone has perfected the ultimate bland band poster, and they're
trialling it with "Fast Crew" as guinea pigs.

The only relief is the "Fast Crew" logo, which is notable because it's
the sort of thing you'd expect to see in a 1950's-themed American diner.
It catches the eye not only because it's incongruous, but also because
it is so very badly executed.

I did a bit of Googling, and hit this site (http://www.muzic.net.nz/artists/885).
As I say in my blog, the press kit seems to have been assembled by
the same robots as the poster.

The people handling the PR for this group are doing a first-rate job
of making them look like featureless, mass-produced automatons.
Is this intentional?

I'll probably have no other contact with the band other than through
the poster and the web site, and it would be a pity if I've somehow
got the wrong idea. So, is there a secret that's been left unrevealed,
or is the whole "Fast Crew" thing a marketing experiment to see how
slick-yet-shoddy a product can get before people turn up their noses?

Im really wondering why noone has mentioned the fact that Rebecca has left the fast crew?

It should be blindingly obvious that the girl who is now performing her parts lately is definatly not her. She has nothing on rebecca

Funny that the rest of the crew havnt seemed to have brought it up or intro'd her, thats a bit sad.

Also anyone noticed that you cant buy the album? Thats because its been pulled because they ripped off the eagles and are possibly gonna be sued! Bet rebeccas happy she left when she did right?

What a shame, haha!

Fast Crews debut single I Got has debuted at no.22 in Australia. They were the 2nd highest new entry and even sold more than Oasis' recent single.

Also on the ARIA charts are P Money & Scribe with Stop The Music which is no.7 there, currently GOLD status with 35,000 singles sold, not bad at all.

Warner Music unleash Fast Crew on Australian radio this week with the release of the Aucklanders' debut single I Got.

Already a top five on the ARIA Club Chart, compiled from weekly club DJ reports, the song is hailed in this week's Music Network industry mag as "a hip hop party anthem with slick R&B basslines and grooves and a damn catchy hook."

New Zealand hip hop has been on the rise across the Tasman in recent times, most notably Scribe who reached #21 on the ARIA Singles Chart with Not Many/Stand Up, and again more recently with P-Money when Stop The Music was the second most added single on Australian radio in the last week of March.

It's music everyday I listen to and I dream of being just like them.
I rap every day and I am becoming a good fast rapper.
I absoulutly love fast crew and when you guys came out it was like a new life had began after Scribe in the NZ music industry as radio began to pump in (I GOT').
I was at the CHCH Edgefest and you guys performed awsum infact the crowd extended way back to almost the coke stand.
Unfortunatly I didn't manage to get a sounds sighning card so iam pretty gutted about that but I do hope to see you guys at the boost mobile tour at Pioneer stadium soon so iam looking forward to that .
My goal in life if there eva was a big aim - it would to become much like you Fast Crew because in the end where would NZ be without the love from NZ music.
