Forming in late 2001, Ad_he_sive spent the first 8 months writing and preparing before publicly presenting themselves for the first time in June 2002 at the Dux de Lux bar, turning heads in the process.
Following that fateful date, Ad_he_sive have been on the rise, supporting such local acts as 4 Man Bob, Tui music award nominees Felt, and playing along side national acts Form, Somersault and Satellite.
The boys’ combined backgrounds in Jazz and Contemporary training have resulted in a form of Kiwi Rock, which Ad_he_sive execute with originality and style, and with dreams of following in the footsteps of record deal giants Steriogram, these 4 guys are 4 guys worth watching.

Ad_he_sive set for take-off Posted: Wed Aug 27, 2003 8:21 pm Emerging Christchurch rock band AD-HE-SIVE are winging their way to Singapore today to play in the Sonic Fest music festival. The band has not released so much as a single in New Zealand, but an application to the Singapore festival organisers has found them on their way to the Asian commercial hub. Band frontman Chris Murray said the band's demo tape was sent to Singapore radio, and went straight to number one on an underground station. He hopes playing in the festival will raise the band's profile both here and overseas and lead to more recording opportunities. "We're completely stoked to be going," he said yesterday. Murray described AD-HE-SIVE as a "fairly original Kiwi rock band", and said they drew inspiration from various bands, from the Foo Fighters to Crowded House. The band, made up of vocalist Murray, guitarist Kyle Scheib, Aidan Blanchard on bass, and drummer Mark Palalagi, plans a South Island tour supporting Kiwi band Felt when they return from Singapore. |
