Bio

Gladeye came into being in late 2000, with the intention of playing original music. Shortly after its formation, they realised that to get regular work in Taranaki they would need to do some cover material. Most of their first year was spent doing just that, learning and regularly performing covers for niteclubs and functions.

This first year established Gladeye as a well known band in the Taranaki scene, providing them also with the finances to work more on producing our original material.

Early in 2002 Craig got married, which meant also playing less in the cover's circuit. While this proved hard at first, it opened up a lot more time & opportunity to work on their main goal, their own music. With the mix of tightness that came from performing every weekend together & the desire to create, it put them in a very good stead to create their own sound.
