Die! Die! Die! is a three-piece band from Auckland that was formed out of the ashes of Xanadu, Carriage H and Rawer. They play songs that are abrasive and catchy, fast and loud and like people who dance at their shows.
In the year since their first show together they played over 100 shows including three tours (each) of New Zealand and Australia, and one small one of USA.
Band Members:
Andrew Wilson (vocals, guitar)
Lachlan Anderson (bass)

Die! Die! Die! new release and tour Posted: Thu Sep 27, 2007 10:36 am This October Tardus Music is proud to present: It’s been a rollercoaster three years for Die!Die!Die!, who released their debut self-titled album locally in 2005 and have toured (New Zealand, Australia, US, UK and Europe) almost solidly since. Die!Die!Die!’s debut self-titled album was recorded in the summer of 2005 with the legendary Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, Shellac). This time round Die!Die!Die! employed the local, but no less legendary, talents of NZ rock luminary Shayne Carter (Dimmer, Straitjacket Fits) in his first producing role for another band. Carter had seen the band perform at a 2007 SXSW show where singer/guitarist Andrew Wilson was forced to forgo most of his guitar parts due to a broken hand. This pared back what was already a minimalist line-up, exposing the bare bones of both Die!Die!Die!’s songwriting and Wilson’s piercing, plaintive vocals. The fact that this band were still so visceral and powerful with nothing but a rhythm section and a vocalist impressed Carter and having known each other for a number of years as brethren of the prolific Dunedin rock scene, he readily agreed to work with them. Sonically Die!Die!Die! have become a much more dynamic band, whose talents have been honed to diamond cut precision by constant touring. Promises, Promises still offers drums that roll around and over you in an orgy of propulsion. The bass is still finding ways to menace your family whilst threatening to rip your heart from its cage. The guitars are still sparkling shards of glass and the vocals are still the high wailings of a young man possessed and obsessed. But this time there is light in the dark, melodies are explored and mined, real singing is employed. You think you know this band, and they know you think you know them, but that’s half the fun. In a world of possibilities why limit yourself to other peoples expectations? Die!Die!Die!
