Boy Maverick are a Wellington based 3-piece that takes heavy rock music and mixes it up with all sorts of crazy flavours depending on what song you're listening to. Forming in April 2007, Boy Maverick are a fairly new band to the Wellington scene but are slowly gaining popularity with each gig.

In August 2007 the band were invited by LA record label 272 Records to have their track "My Sorrow" put on the "Kill City Volume 4" compilation CD which is available on Amazon.com. This came at a time when the band went by the name of "Spartacus" (This had to be changed due to the existence of another Wellington band with a very similar name).

Keep an ear and an eye out for them around Wellington, especially at venues such as Valve, The Adelaide and Sub 9.
