It was a dark and livid night and the beauty of life did seem long lost. So we searched through the depths of our strangled youth, to bring forth a new and pornographic outlook on a world that had become nothing less than a tainted stain on the universe. It was at this point that The Grim Sons was formed and the message behind our drive had become visible. We started to molest our musical influences for something as filthy and deprived as our timid gaze upon the ever-consuming entity that is grim.
From the moment of conception The Grim Sons have always maintained the constant vibe of darkness, the feeling that life may have just ended but its ok because its so bitter sweet. Keeping this in mind as the songs twist into one another reaching heights and carving depths that are only safe in your imagination. The Grim Sons make this flesh. The sound cuts through the mainstream to rebuild music from its most basic point and rebirth it as an entity as of yet undescribed.
From beautiful licks to stormy bass lines mingled with solid drumbeats and deep vocal remedies undelayed with soft touches of keyboards to eminate an elegance rarely seen in the music scene to date.
In short The Grim Sons will never disappoint or dishonour your expectancy but on the contrary raise the bar of what should be accepted as New Zealand music.
