Doubtful Sounds

Bio

Doubtful Sounds is a bookmark in the musical journey of Chris Familton, onetime bassist with 90's guitar heroes Thorazine Shuffle and Fontanelle.

As one of the founding members of Thorazine he rode the wave with them from the practice room to the stage to the recording studio. From there he hooked up with Mikey Havoc and other ex Thorazine members to form Fontanelle, creating a dynamic sound that culminated in their opening of the main stage at the '97 Big Day Out.

After relocating to Sydney eleven years ago, Familton has focused on his own writing and recording of guitar based instrumental pieces that take in americana, indie and post rock influences. He is also one half of The Finalists with Brett Jones (ex Nocturnal Projections) and experimental outfit Kompost.

The new Doubtful Sounds release is The Ghosthouse EP which explores dark panoramic moods and themes of decay and decadence.
