Damage Tones, set out as they mean to end it; with music crafted to set even the most faithless critics' ears on fire. It's bluesy, moody and dark. From the clever melodic guitar work that Windon Bradfield and Rewi Mclay relentlessly deliver, the arsenal of thunderous rhythm and percussion from resident drummer Phil Peters, the heavy groove laid down by bassist Phil Smith to the enigmatic, blues laden vocals of front man Rhyan Rego, you are sure to leave a show somewhat changed.
Damage Tones take pride in their live shows, reaching into the depths of each individual member's vast musical prowess to create an event that is ballsy and aggressive but still layered with elements of groove, sludge and psychedelia.
With songs arranged and written to entertain and absorb; question and criticise, Damage Tones invite you to take a journey through the haunting politics of 'Carnival of Fools', to the lyrical trickery of 'Evil' and 'Tidal Time', the floor filling 'Miss Addict' and the sucker-punch, in-your-face, drive of crowd favourites 'Blue Moon', 'Reptile Prophet' and 'The Devil's Song'.
Having played alongside acts such as Soljah, Sonic Altar, The Symphony of Screams, Ritual Grounds, Big Punch, Leopard Skin Driveway, Reverence and Ethanol58; they hope to play many more shows with local talent over the coming months.
Damage Tones are no longer performing.
