Emerging from the flourishing underground Auckland rock scene, Capricore caused a stir upon their live debut in 2023, playing back to back shows all across the North island. Often described as a modern take on Split Enz, Capricore takes influence from classic New Zealand artists, filtering their sound through a fresh, alternative lens. Their style altogether has been praised by critics as genre defying, delivering a rich blend of post-punk, jazz, and pop-rock with atmospheric undertones. Dreamer, their debut single was released in February 2024, produced by Kiwi-rock icon Pete Warren of DD Smash fame.
