In 2001 Mana Oakes and Ben Steel were a part of a local (HBC) school punk rock band called 2 Naked Dogs, Mana and Ben both both played guitar. The band started in early 2001 playing in school gigs with other bands like Class One, Rank, RPT, and One Sliced Toaster.

With only 4 weeks before the Coke Smokefree Rockquest the band came up with their first original 'Gone Forever'. They came nowhere in the Coke Smokefree Rockquest so the band broke up shortly after due to band issues.

Mana and Ben were keen to keep going and so they called up local drummer Josh Carthy and the band was set this time with Mana playing bass guitar and Ben kept playing guitar, and Josh on Drums. The Israelites was finally formed mid 2001. Not long after this band came up with their first originals 'Santa Clause Is Coming To Christmas' and 'Crazy'.

Only 3 weeks later, they were asked to play at another school gig alongside bands Class One and Mumsdollar.

Later that year the band came up with more originals and decided to hit the school studios and lay down some tracks. So they released our first ever Demo CD 'Cash Refund' compiled of 11 tracks.

Name was changed to No Chance due to copyright.

Earlier in 2002 after missing out on playing at the Parachute Festival No Chance began making some more originals and were keen for some more gigs. They were asked to play at Moshstock 2002, alongside bands Rank, Class One, and Nevertheless.

No Chance's influences include Millencolin, NOFX, Operation Ivy, Homegrown, Blink 182 and MxPx.
