Bio

Formerly known as Dirt Theory, Second Theory is a five-piece band from Auckland that delivers an energetic brand of melodic hardcore. Second Theory was formed in early of 2003 after additions to the bands line-up resulted in a subsequent name change. The current line-up was finalised after the addition of Nick Pearson in early 2004 and Kris a few months later. The band has received praise for its explosive live shows.

Second Theory has spent the last nine months playing in the Auckland area, playing with local bands such as New Way Home, Cold By Winter, Dead Letter, Los Muertos, Full Nelson and Subtract. The band has also recently supported American hardcore acts Most Precious Blood and Terror.

The track 'Rainbows and Razorblades' was recorded in August of 2004 and was produced, engineered, and mixed by Dave Rhodes of Stylus. The track can be downloaded from their official website in the Audio section.

Second Theory have now disbanded.
