Bio

Rubita are a modern-day take on the lounge flavoured jazz, laments of a classic era where singers wore their hearts on their sleeves with an unmistakable swagger.

Having recently graduated from the University of Otago with a degree in composition and performance: the first female to graduate with a major in electric guitar, Rubita played in multiple bands before stepping out to concentrate on her own music.

Song writing has always been Rubita’s greatest strength and consistently delivers raw picturesque lyrics.
