Bio

Guy Wishart has written and recorded 5 self titled albums as well as being in the Selon Recliner band, who have produced 2 albums. He has won the 2017 Best Folk Album Tui, the APRA Silver Scroll and NZ Most Promising Male Vocalist. His latest album, West by North, has received positive reviews with Graham Reid saying “Wishart and his band have crafted an extraordinary album of emotional depths which are rarely explored with such consistency in this country,” “As crafted as Neil Finn, as deep as Townes Van Zandt and at home in the company of Guy Clark, John Prine or James McMurtry, these songs pull you in.”
