Bio

Antony Jeffares (pronounced Jeff-Ears) is a New Zealand musician blending folk/americana with synth pop. A spirited vocal set above an acoustic guitar amidst drum machines and sequencer patterns. The songs pay homage to the classic writers of decades past. Learning to play in church, studying jazz at university, cutting his teeth in punk bands and touring in numerous groups, Ants is an established musician, embarking on a solo endeavour. His time is currently spent in his studio in New Zealand working on a self-produced forthcoming album.

The performances are visceral. Heart on the sleeve. It’s the down to earth nature of his homeland, with all the verve and intensity of the american music influence.
