Pony Club are currently out of action. The band gigged around Wellington in the mid to late 90s until two members split for respective new lives in San Francisco and New York. Pony Club played original Alternative Country but were too subtle for most punters whose cries of "louder, faster!" were met by a nihilistic refusal.
The band released a 7" single - 'Days Of Wine &... Wine' and a cassette EP titled 'Horizon'.
In 2003 vocalist Bryce Galloway and guitarist Michael Brown revisited the Pony Club project to mix down recordings that had yet to see the light of day. The recordings garnered a positive response from National Radio and so 'The Tower of Lint' CD album had its small print run extended.
The CD is accompanied by a hilarious fanzine which plots the trials and tribulations of a band without a fan base.
Band Members:
