Elevator was formed in 1998. Since then, two recordings have been produced. The first was a two track demo titled 'Elevator 001'. Both songs from this demo received local radio airplay and reached No. 1 on one station. The debut album 'Music' (11 tracks) was recorded at Revolver Studios in Auckland, and released in December 2000.
Elevator have also performed at the Parachute Festival.

Elevator signs with Parachute Records Posted: Mon Aug 11, 2003 5:53 pm It has been a full on few months for the Elevator crew but we are stoked to announce that we have just signed with Parachute Records! We are busy writing and recording new material and head into the studio early September to record our second album. For those of you that have supported us over the years, you will know that this second album has been a while coming, but we can finally say...... "it is on it's way". Expect it in shops early 04. We would like to thank all at Parachute Records, and in particular Mark De jong for the vision to see Christian music grow and expand in NZ . We are excited to be working alongside a great organisation that we believe are doing big things in bringing quality kiwi Christian music to this country and also to other parts of the world. Thanks also to Dave Cullen for believing in and supporting us and for his part in this signing. Special thanks to Brent & Patrica Douglas and to all our church family at Encounter Christian Centre. A huge thanks goes out to all our friends, family and supporters that have emailed, written, come to our gigs and bought our albums and t-shirts! We wouldn't be here without you. |
