Not An Option

Bio

Three guys, three schools, one garage, one passion. Not An Option has been together as a band since February 2004. Max (bass) and Richard (guitar) have been jamming for as long as they can remember, and recently found Jason to be their kick-ass drummer.

What first brought Not An Option together was the fact that they all live on the same street and all play rugby. With each member having visions of world domination, starting a band was almost inevitable.

Band practice consists of bashing a beat-up drum kit, playing bass through a tiny guitar amp on full volume, and singing through a microphone duct taped to a symbol stand, plugged in with the guitar into a twin channel amp from cash converters.

With Max growing up listening to his dads radio permanently fixed on Hauraki, Richard playing cello for six years before switching to guitar, and Jason hitting things with sticks since he was born, Not An Option have combined to create their own unique, sugar-coated punk-rock style.

Band Members:
Richard Horsley (vocals, guitar)
Max Thompson (bass, vocals)
Jason Mudgway (drums)
