Scarlet Notion is a three piece band from Palmerston North. They started out back in 2003 around September/October when Kim and Victoria got together for a jam, then decided to form a band. So after not believing Jim really did play the bass, they called her in to join the fun, then dragged in a reluctant Frankie to sing. Starting with some covers, they got some songs together and did their first gig at the Stomach in December. 2004 saw Jim disappear to Japan and the departure of Frankie, leaving Kim to take up the vocals. Another gig and another trip to Japan later, and they're on the road to taking over the world with their intelligent girl pop-rock.
