Nicolette

Bio

Nicolette Kenny has done a lot in the last five years. She's been blown up, thrown off buildings, trodden on by horses and involved in near-fatal car accidents - all in her day job capacity as a stuntwoman.

Along the way, she's also released some singles.

The first, 'Blue Day', was an upbeat dance version of the 80s hit by Kiwi band Mi-Sex's. It was a NZ top 20 hit in 1999, much to the delight of Mi-Sex's member Colin Bayley, whom Nicolette has been busy writing songs with in Sydney.

The following year, she released the originally-penned 'Harden Up', which was a top 20 dance hit in Australia with a video featuring aggressive bunny rabbits being thrown through walls, and lines of women performing formation bollock-kicking on men in a martial arts class.

The last few years have seen her concentrating more on songwriting, writing for and developing new artists, and writing music for Australian television.

She returned in 2003 with her new single 'If You Want Me', a departure from the dance/pop sound of her earlier singles.

When asked about the inspiration behind the song, Nicolette is forced to run to the bathroom. "Thanks for reminding me who that was about," she says upon her return. "I've long since got over that crush."
