Zoë Vera is a rising pop singer based in Auckland, New Zealand. Zoë made her mark on the music scene earlier this year with her debut single Don't Make It My Fault, an emotive song about a relationship gone horribly wrong.

Zoë Vera's latest single Amsterdam, released on the 25th of October, explores themes of depression and hopelessness. Aware that a geographical change from Auckland to Amsterdam won’t take the pain away, but unsure of what else to do, this song highlights the helplessness one can feel in an overwhelming situation. Zoë converses with herself in Amsterdam in a vulnerable, raw and honest way. Interestingly, Zoë was born in the Netherlands, having moved to New Zealand at eight years of age. Understandably then, moving back to Holland might feel like a solution.
