Bio

Melaanie grew up with the influence of soul and pop all around her and steadily developed her singing voice and career over the years.

Born in New Zealand and of part Maori heritage, Melaanie and her family migrated to Australia when she was eight. She has travelled extensively through Queensland and New South Wales honing her talent, and touring the country with various groups - like Shades of Kiwi, seven-piece funk band Kahootz, and Australian male group CBD.

Since then she has been enticed back to New Zealand to launch a solo music career.
