Disarm

Bio

Despite being relatively new to the Christchurch music scene, Disarm are already turning heads. Their unique guitar driven sound has been compared to a diverse range of artists from Eight to Tool, and while vocalist Jeremy Wishart can often be seen touting an acoustic guitar, they are by no means a quiet band! Their set list ranges from the heavy, almost progressive rock anthem 'Spokane', to the mellow instrumental 'The Piano' with something for everyone in between.

Founding members Jeremy Wishart and Greg Brown first met in early 2001, and quickly hit it off musically. Their first band, Atacama, was short lived, but in 2003 they formed Disarm and have been going from strength to strength ever since.

Highlights include playing to 2000 people at the 2003 Eastercamp, recording with Ian Mcallister at SweetJuice, and supporting Zed in March 2004. With their style developing into a more upbeat, high energy sound, Disarm are only going to get better - definitely a band to watch!
