Cherry's Gemstones New Zealand's ultimate rock/do-wop band lit the stage on fire for the opening show of NZ music month at The Wellington Town Hall, with The Bleeders and Deja Voodoo. They then went on to rip the country up and return alive from a blazing nationwide New Zealand tour (May 2006), which hailed the release of their first EP 'Love In The Dreamscape Matrix Reality' Led by the loudest yodelling muppet around (her words not mine) Cherry's Gemstones rides a furious paced exploration of modern rock n roll, an all-singing, all-rocking girl group!

Three-piece from Wellington, the band is primed to fill the void left by the hiatus of Auckland femme band The Coolies. Taking influence from punk, experimental rock, grunge and pop genres as well as operatic and metal, the band promises to leave you breathless in a Psychodelic, surreal trance!

Cherry's Gemstones have played with the likes of other kick-ass underground New Zealand bands who have spear-headed new kiwi sounds, The Fanatics, Die! Die! Die!, Cortina, Lady Luck and The Raskolnikovs. Most recently they have performed with Batrider, Minuit and Czech band Sabot. The range of groups keen to play with them highlights the scope of their musicality which is almost impossible to define.

Wellington based Cherry's Gemstones are excited to announce with a high swing their nation wide album release tour in February and March 08. Recent student Battle of the band winners 'Fanucman' will join them for the North Island leg of the tour which will amaze, stun and delight audiences all over the country this summer!

Cherry's Gemstones have sparkled this year with notable shows at The Wellington and Auckland City Art Galleries and the Cortina Festival at the San Francisco Bath House.
