Codeine Like Candy's music is written and produced by Amber Cadaver, then taken to the stage with the help of Sarah Williamson and Jason McIver.

Attracting more attention in the USA due to Idle Hands and Obsolete both making it as the Artist Of The Month songs on Lip-service.com soundtrack, the band quickly gathered momentum in July 2008. Since then CLC have recorded and self released an EP, Surgeries For Enemies, filmed and released a music video for the single Idle Hands and opened for the Headless Chickens 10 year reunion tour at The Powerstation.
