Slim

Bio

Slim's album Drive Thru features the singles Crumbling, Real World, Low, Rise Up and Bullet In My Hand and was recorded at Auckland studio Revolver. The album was co-produced by Neil Baldock who has also recorded work by Che Fu, Rubicon and HLAH. Slim's singles have been popular on radio stations The Rock and Channel Z and on video channel Juice TV.

Aaron Hogg was in Pumpkinhead prior to forming Slim. Aaron also designed their album cover and directed their recent videos. Tiki Taane from Salmonella Dub sometimes does sound for Slim as he and Simon were previously in the rawk band Braaspadeak. Members of Slim and members of the Dub are known to partake in that recreational vice, the game of soccer.

Slim opened for Pacifier when they toured the South Island and they have also opened for HLAH, 28 Days, KoRn, The Feelers, Jebediah and Fuel. They have also played at the Big Day Out.

Slim disbanded in 2003, and performed their final gig at the Jetset Lounge in Christchurch on 1 Feb 2003.

Slim Call It A Day
Posted: Thu Jan 23, 2003 5:10 pm
Thanks to NoiZyland for this story:

Top Christchurch rockers Slim are calling it a day after, apparently, some differences of opinion over their Pacifier support spot late last year.

The band were split over the decision to say 'No' to doing the entire Pacifier NZ tour late last year (they ended up only playing the North Island dates), and it appears that those who were annoyed with the member or members that would not do that tour have chosen to leave.

Catch their last gig ever at the Jetset Lounge in Christchurch on Saturday 1 February 2003.
