Kiwi
rock band Blindspott have made history as the first kiwi band to re-enter the
Official New Zealand Music Charts at Number One with their iconic, debut
multi-platinum self-titled album, first released in 2002. This
incredible achievement tops off a massive start to the year for the band who
recently announced rescheduled dates for the remainder of their nationwide
tour, playing this iconic album in full at venues across the country. 2020
has been a massive year for the band, taking out The Rock FM’s ‘Rock Wars’
(beating out Pink Floyd in the final) and have also announced they are heading
into the studio to write new music, the first time in over 15 years. The band’s
popularity continues to grow with their iconic hits, such as Nil By Mouth,
Room To Breathe, Phlex still blasted on rock radio to this day, with last
year’s The Rock 1500 boasting no less than 9 songs from Blindspott. “Massive
thanks to all our fans and everyone who supports us, we’re stoked!." the band said. "We really appreciate it
and can’t wait to get out on the road to perform the album for you in
September!” Damian
Alexander (vocals), Marcus Powell (guitar, backing vocals), and Shelton
Woolright (drums) are taking to the road once again and will be revisiting the
album that touched so many kiwi's lives and instantly made it a classic! This
massive tour spans from North to South, kicking off again in Taupo on August
28th and ending with a bang in Christchurch on October 10. Don’t miss this
one-off opportunity to witness one of our greatest rock bands performing live,
one of NZ’s greatest rock albums! Tickets
for all dates are on sale now from Eventfinda.co.nz
with limited stocks of the iconic limited edition self titled vinyl
album available for sale at each show.
