Following the release of their single, Red, Red, Red, on Home Alone Music’s Winter 2020 compilation, Poneke based Mystery Waitress announce their debut album, Nest.
The eight track project due this Friday on September 18, will transport listeners to an intimate place where the anxieties of growing up and the joys of escapism overlap, exploring the spectrum of emotion between desire and fear, and blurring the lines between dreams and reality.
Vocalist and songwriter Tessa Dillon, drummer Olivia Campion (Yumi Zouma, Girlboss), and multi-instrumentalist and producer James Morgan, have crafted a sound that straddles a compelling middle ground between softer reflections, energetic fervour, and resonant grandeur to emerge with a unique and exciting brand of ‘fairy-tale rock’.
The resulting songs feel equally suited to solo introspective walks as they do to summer road trips. The album will be available to purchase on Bandcamp, and to stream on Spotify and Apple Music.
