And$um finishes the year strong with his 6-track EP Late Nights.
Following the release of his debut album earlier this year, Late Nights is another high quality release for the Christchurch based artist.
A myriad of moody and alternative hip-hop, Late Nights is a cohesive and unique blend of styles.
Speaking on the project And$um explains, "the project is a bit different to what i’ve done before, but I’m excited to explore a different side of my artistry. I like to try and push the boundaries of what I'm doing and I never want to make the same song twice."
The 6 tracks explore ideas of a relationship and a breakup. The EP looks at a relationship coming to an end and all the emotions around it. And$um explains, “coming to an end of relationship can be scary and confusing. Basically the EP is just a jumble of ideas and feelings that I didn’t have any other way to convey”.
Featuring the likes of Candice Milner, Valentina (FKA as Hybrid Rose) and Laura Lee Lovely, the EP is home to an array of moods and styles.
A regular across student radio playlists, Late Nights comes off an impressive run of form for the Christchurch MC. And$um’s previous singles have been featured in Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday’, ‘Beats & Bars’, ‘The Drip’, ‘+64 Flow as well as Apple Music’s ‘New Music Friday’ and ‘The New New Zealand’.
The EP is set for release on 30/10/2020 via DRM NZ.
