Arrays is the solo studio project of JP Carroll - the archetypal one man band. JP writes, performs and
arranges the songs, records and produces the tracks, and even handles the mixes by himself. Music is his obsession, from writing a song, to mixing it and releasing it.
The new single No Way Out presents a visceral, aggressive aspect of Arrays, driven by a palm muted hero riff, before the syncopated, stomping bridge lands.
“...He has a strong voice and is obviously a talented musician to create these songs at a quality level of production alone.” - For The Love Of Bands
“...There are a handful of talented multi instrumental musicians who have the ability to strip everything back to just themselves and their imagination. JP Carroll is one such talent. He is also a master of the killer riff.” - Paul Goddard, Muzic.net.nz
Arrays is guitar centric, melodic and anchored in groove. Grunge, Nu Metal, Metalcore and Prog Metal influences are drawn upon to create a sound that is unique and unmistakably ‘JP’, while still feeling strangely familiar - like a trip down memory lane with a new perspective.
JP’s former band Armed In Advance had the honor of supporting Drowning Pool, P.O.D and Skillet on New Zealand soil.
