Whanganui-based two-man pop-funk-punk duo Something Zesty have just released their debut EP Funk’t Up.
The jaw-dropping EP is a continuation of Something Zesty’s online hit-series Speed Cooking - a hilariously funk’t up web series that follows Something Zesty’s Isaac Chamberlain and Andrew Condon as they produce an entirely improvised Funk record from scratch in an afternoon.
Following the success of this series, Something Zesty have had the original tunes maximised and studio-mastered for your listening pleasure. Fair warning is needed - the groovy riffs in 0800 ZEST may funk up your health, but the hypnotising bass-lines in Dr Funk will bring you right back to life. 2021 marks the second year of Something Zesty’s adventure into the hyper-galactic music dimension and they are looking forward to a live-band summer tour in December and the release of their first album later this year.
