L.A.B return with their fifth album in five years, L.A.B V, out this Friday. The album features a band continuing to experiment with multiple genres, while staying true to the L.A.B sound.

Featuring the single Mr Reggae, L.A.B V sees the band combining their eclectic sound into a compelling journey that moves across reggae, soul, funk & blues. This weekend saw the band drop a surprise live session for Proud Man, a funk-inspired jam that closes the album, and can be viewed HERE.

Friday December 17 will see the album released the same day L.A.B are nominated for five awards at the Aotearoa Music Awards. Following on from winning two awards in 2020 including People's Choice, the band are finalists for Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Group, Best Roots Artist, Best Engineer & People's Choice, after also taking home three Waiata Māori Music Awards earlier this year.

The release comes ahead of a summer of live performances across New Zealand & Australia, including headline shows at Hagley Park in Christchurch and at Auckland’s iconic Western Springs. These shows all feature a 100% local lineup, and are set to be some of the biggest shows this summer.
