Melbourne based musician producer Oakley Grenell ignites the airwaves again with his independent Central Records release Payroll.
For this heavy hitting hip-hop track Grenell enlisted the lyrical talents of long time MC collaborator Stauny Pops who featured heavily on Central Records past albums Moving On & The Deep.
Payroll also features recent collaborator Max Shotta, one half of The Shottaz. The tune breaks down how everybody’s 9 to 5 is their way to reach greatness if you stick to your goals and achieve the unthinkable. Both an inspiration and burden about society’s work / life balance, Payroll will have you amped up to smash out your day.
This past May, Grenell released Flavour featuring Jamaican Grimehall artist Fyah Roiall and before that, the Strictly Niceness Remix 2 pack featuring Marcus Visionary, Midnight Dubs / LQ.
Payroll will feature on the NZ on Air New Tracks compilation, which gets sent to every radio station in NZ. Available on all music services from Friday 15th July 2022.
Keep an ear out for new single Buss Dance feat. King Ru & Lotek on Central Records in August.
