Harper Finn today releases his highly anticipated debut EP: Newcomer.
The 8-track EP features recently released Different Skies which was quick to hit #1 on the Hot 20 New Zealand singles chart, Harper’s Gold certified single Dance Away These Days, Conversations With The Moon, She Said, Good For Me, alongside a further three brand new tracks showcasing the breadth of Harper’s songwriting skills.
Of the new songs Euphoria is an undeniably infectious track that’ll have listeners on their feet. Co-produced with Alex Burnett and mixed by Eric J Dubowski, it sees Harper doing what we know him best for on Dance Away These Days; with the rhythm inspiring us to get up, dance and shake off our worries. Fans can watch the music video, that Harper describes as a love letter to New York, now.
Speaking on the track, Harper says “Euphoria was one of the quickest songs I’ve ever written; the title mirrors the high of the creative flow I felt when writing it. It’s about the way you feel when you start a new relationship, the anticipation of a recurrence only adding to the excitement.”
After winning Breakthrough Artist of the Year award at December’s Aotearoa Music Awards, the creation and theme of Newcomer spans the first chapter of Harper’s musical journey. This is only the start for Harper Finn as his star continues to rise.
Harper Finn has two upcoming shows in Auckland and Wellington in August, where fans can dance with him once again.
