From an experienced songwriter and performer comes an effervescent, infectious pop anthem about daring to be different and stand by what you believe in.
Born and raised on the Coromandel Peninsula, Nur Peach has been singing and writing songs from a very early age, and had written more than 200 songs by the time she finished high school. Fresh out of a Bachelor’s Degree in Popular Music, Nur has extensive performance experience under her belt, both in New Zealand and around the world. This experience includes performances at festivals, appearing on Maori TV, performances in Israel and busking on the streets of Paris. In 2016, her original song Feel The Sun made her the Waikato regional winner of the Play It Strange Get Connected songwriting competition.
Offbeat, which was produced by Scott Seabright, is Nur Peach’s second single release to date. Written in her first year at university, the song was inspired by Nur’s real life experiences of struggling to fit in, and of learning to come to terms with being a little different. This can be a heavy topic, but Offbeat takes a more positive angle, providing understanding and encouragement for those who’ve always felt like they don’t conform. It is Nur’s hope that Offbeat is able to inspire listeners to take positive risks and live as their most authentic selves.
