The track starts out with a dark, moody feel, and a long synth-driven intro. From there, the breakdown grips the listener with the iconic vocal, paired with intense sound design, alluding to what's to come.
The drop takes off in superb fashion, with a very modern approach including lots of unique bass hits and lead melodies. The track has a slight nod to the early sounds of Drum and Bass as it is heavily dominated by a gritty feel.
Fast forward to the second drop, and you find yourself skanking out to a half-time interpretation, a call back to the earlier works of Lee Mvtthews.
All round, this is an absolute belter and will go off come festival season!
Lee Mvtthews enthusiasm for the project is contagious:
"This was such an exciting project for us to work on, we've been fans of Shapeshifter since before we were old enough to go to raves, so to have the boys reach out to us to take on something from their album was truly an honour!"
"It was pretty instantaneous when we first heard Futures that it was the track we wanted to remix, the powerful hook from P Digsss grabbed us immediately and we knew we wanted to use that as the basis of rework."
"We wanted to create something big that would entice any Drum and Bass fan, and we think we've done a pretty solid job at that!"
