Band & Musician News - Nika Releases New Song 'Saviour Complex'

On 21 October, Nika released her first single, Saviour Complex, with Big Pop Studios. The song is written and performed by Nika and produced by Maude Morris.
This song was created for the end credits of a TVNZ documentary called 'Beyond Conversion' (now on TVNZ+) about conversion practices in Aotearoa. In the course of her nine-to-five, Nika worked on the production team of Beyond Conversion listening to the stories of a group of brave conversion therapy survivors.
When the film’s director approached Nika to write and perform a song for the film, it felt like a natural fit as Nika was so involved in the making of the film. Nika comments: “As a queer artist, I felt moved to have the opportunity to support my community through my passion.”
The song plays during the end-credits of the festival version of the film which will screen at film festivals internationally to large audiences!
