Volume ll includes the recently released Volume l tracks - Martyr, R.I.P and Tonight as well as their latest single Pretty Violent and two brand new tracks out today - Nightmare and new lead single, A Perfect Storm.
“We pour so much time and effort into the craft of our songwriting,” says lead vocalist, Damian Alexander. “So being able to finally share Volume ll and see it take on its own life is one of the most rewarding parts of making music.”
“I think Volume ll shows the many sides of us as musicians.. we have a lot of varied tastes and don’t put any rules on what we think we should sound like and I think it shows.”
Out today along with Volume ll is the focus single A Perfect Storm; a meaningful track about the unconditional love one has for their children. The track features guest vocals from upcoming Tauranga vocalist, Sophie-Maude.
“The new song is about how your children inspire you to be better, and how they reframe the way you see the world,” says Damian Alexander.

The other brand new track out today on Volume ll is Nightmare, which takes fans straight back to the Blindspott sound of their first album.
“The track Nightmare for me personally is true Blindspott,” explains Alexander. There’s no time limits or worrying about changing the format.. It's straight up painting with music, like what we did on our first record. It’s the stuff that really makes us proud of our art form.”
Today’s release completes the second instalment of their four-part album, Volumes. Each volume unique in tone and sound but still showing off the familiar Blindspott sound that fans know and love.
“All we hope for is that people attach their own feelings and memories to the songs and that for years to come when they hear the music, it transports them back to the moment it was a part of,” says Alexander.
Absorb the sounds of Blindspott in today’s release, and get ready for the final instalment of music to make up their forthcoming album Volumes.
