Adam Tukiri and Hor. (AKA Hor. Beats) collaborate once again, on second project Harirū 2. The follow-on to the previous collaborative release Harirū. Adam and Hor. have worked together, as Hor. usually DJs when Adam performs and they are both part of the rap group Valleyside Boys.
“This album to me is what I really wanted the first one to be, raw and not so formulaic. A bunch of barely mixed vocals over loud lo-fi beats. Starting off with an intro from the perspective of a relative and close friend, I wanted to spotlight their struggles and then have the rest of the album serve as a 'meanwhile in survivors guilt' or something. Spewing out my way of thinking and I think the reason I never went that route is subtly explained by the time the last song hits. Bridging their struggles with mine in a weird way, which is the sort of theme with these 2 albums, bridging two people's different styles together.”
“The song is loosely written about how, in my view, a lot of rappers seem to have to be another version of themselves. Because generating profit for rapping in this country is quite difficult. So I am essentially just encouraging everyone to lie or do whatever they have to do to get it (the bag). It is also about people on the internet getting overly political without really having credible research. I originally wrote the song over a Jennifer Lopez beat”
