The six-track EP is a gorgeous collection of songs performed by Georgia on vocals and keys, showcasing the music in its original, raw form.
“I wanted to create a project that reflected how my songs were originally written
(on the piano) and to also capture how they have been interpreted for my live shows when I am playing solo,” explains Georgia. “The songs carry a different life when played how they were originally written; with just piano.”
Consisting of four pre-released songs, a cover of the Billie Eilish hit When The Party’s Over featuring fellow NZ artist Cassie Henderson, the EP also includes new track Falling.
“Falling was one of the first songs I had written back in 2014 with a friend of mine Ryan Mulligan (previously in the band PleasePlease),”
says Georgia. “I often play Falling live in my solo sets and often have people asking where they can listen to this song. Up until now it hasn’t been released.”
Georgia Lines and Cassie Henderson have also today released a video on Instagram performing their duet of When The Party's Over, featured on the EP.

Recorded by Christian Tjandrawinata, the full EP was produced by Georgia, mixed by Nic Manders and mastered by Chris Chetland. Played live in Nic Manders’ studio with Georgia performing both keys and vocals simultaneously, these stripped back versions demonstrate not only the full extent of Georgia’s impeccable songwriting, but also her incredible talent for live performance.
“I have done a lot of
solo touring in 2022 and loved performing these songs in their rawest form,” says Georgia. “I really wanted to release them this way.”
