The sky’s the limit in the land of the long white cloud for next gen Kiwi’s Hazey and Erin G as they deliver the uplifting and anthemic For A Moment. With a Drum and Bass kick that turns on the afterburners and a vocal melody that soothes your fear of heights, it’s best to close your eyes, listen and don’t look down.
Having already established himself as one of the most diverse up and coming names on the NZ DnB scene, DJ, producer and promoter Charlie Spicer aka Hazey teams up with the emerging NZ multi instrumentalist and vocalist Erin G on this release with the result seeing us lifted to woozy sonic heights.
In Hazey’s words "When creating For a Moment, Erin G & I set out with a goal to create a powerful tune with a high energy and euphoric sound. The feeling of telling your mates you love ‘em at a festival is like no other, and we wanted to put that feeling into music.”
Erin G says about the collaboration “It has been an absolute pleasure creating such a magical anthem with Hazey, I'm so excited to celebrate the new year with the uplifting, fearless message of this song”.
Looking into 2023, Hazey is set to showcase his sound in NZ and beyond. Since debuting in 2019 he has toured NZ playing at some of the countries biggest festivals such as Rhythm & Vines and Gold Rush as well as alongside of some of the scenes biggest names including Bru-C, Quix, Delta Heavy, K Motionz, Turno, Pola & Bryson, Mr Traumatik, Montell 2099, Kanine, Document One, MC Tali, Lee Mvtthews, Flowidus, Hedex and Dutta.
Stemming from a multi instrumental background Erin G isn’t defined by one particular sound or movement, cultivating her own genre bending tracks delving into Indie and Drum and Bass paving her way with great success. Since debuting, she has been collaborating with artists all over NZ recently featuring on EMWA’s ‘Show Me The Way’ which received a string of radio plays on George FM.
For A Moment by Hazey & Erin G is out now via Dark Machine Records.
