The song revels in the joyous (and occasionally anxiety-inducing) waters around Pōneke. The excitement of spotting rig sharks when they arrive at Oriental Bay; wading through gloopy salps and jelly fish; worrying about which mega corporation manufactured your sunscreen.

It’s the first single from their upcoming EP, Toilets for Everyone. Coming down hard on property managers, corporate fakery, and poor urban planning, they’ll be releasing a song a week on Bandcamp and Spotify. Toilets for Everyone, stalls for all.

Housewitches will make you dance and make you check your privilege (as well as their own). Born in 2018, the band started life as a push-bike gang comprising Bridget, Rory and Micheline. Esther brought her anti-patriarchal swagger and a second guitar to the union the following year.
